Meet the Heart Behind Acres Pet Resort
At the core of Acres Pet Resort is a lifelong passion for dogs and a deep commitment to their care, led by our founder, Emad Awad.
Born and raised with a love for animals, Emad grew up with a natural love for animals—especially dogs. From the time he was a young boy, he felt a special connection with them. As the years passed, that love grew into something more: a dedication to understanding dogs, caring for them, and creating a space where they could truly feel safe, respected, and happy.
Over time, Emad found himself drawn especially to big dogs—Golden Retrievers, Rottweilers, Bulldogs, and other large breeds that often require more than just space—they need confidence, calm leadership, and deep respect. With over 40 years of experience, he’s built a reputation for working successfully with dogs of all temperaments, including those others may shy away from.
Today, Acres Pet Resort is a family-run business, rooted in Emad’s values of compassion, integrity, and trust. He and his wife, along with their two children, Chady and Carla, have poured their hearts into making Acres a second home for pets and peace of mind for their humans.
Set in the peaceful, open space of Monroe, our resort combines expert-level dog care with a warm, personal touch that only a family business can provide.
